L&D strategy supervisor (freelance)

About Obelisk

At Obelisk, we're all about growth that sticks. We design learning pathways that get employees moving, with realistic exercises, solid feedback and an approach that works in practice. Our team? A mix of passionate trainers and coaches who have a feel for the work context and didactics. What binds us: a sense for quality, a heart for people and the desire to make an impact. We work tailor-made and start from the reality of the organization. Do you recognize yourself? Then maybe you fit in perfectly with our team.

Do you want to help organizations take their L&D policies to the next level? And do you feel like using your strategic experience in impactful coaching projects? Then this position is for you.

About the position

As a freelance strategic L&D supervisor at Obelisk, you work with companies looking to strengthen or rethink their learning and development policies. You guide them in sharpening their L&D vision, starting from the broader business strategy. This translation happens in co-creation: you facilitate in-depth discussions with L&D managers, HR managers and management teams.

You will support customers in such areas as:

  • Formulating a forward-looking and context-driven L&D vision
  • aligning that vision with other HR domains and business objectives
  • outlining a workable structure: team roles, processes, KPIs, forms of collaboration, ...
  • translating the vision into concrete projects, programs or a renewed learning and development operation

We are looking for someone who works evidence-based, who listens and challenges, and who guides organizations with an economic as well as a human-centered perspective. You know how learning policies can be a lever for sustainable growth, both in large companies and in rapidly evolving SMEs.

Your profile

  • You have at least 10 years of experience in L&D, a substantial part of which is at the strategic or policy level
  • You have experience guiding change, vision development and team dynamics
  • You are a strong facilitator who gets people moving
  • you can quickly grasp organizational contexts and switch smoothly between operational, tactical and strategic levels
  • You work in a well-founded manner and with knowledge of current insights on learning and development
  • you communicate clearly, even in complex contexts
  • You speak and write Dutch fluently; knowledge of French and/or English is an asset (some tracks are bilingual)

‍‍

What do we offer?

  • assignments with exciting clients with solid growth plans
  • room for content depth and personal input
  • collaboration in a network of experts with sounding board meetings, intervision and training sessions
  • a warm collaboration with the Obelisk team: professional, people-oriented and ambitious
  • freelance collaboration with market rates tailored to your experience
