In a team, 1+1 should be more than 2: together you should be able to accomplish more than alone. Is that the case in your team? Or do you notice a lot of untapped potential? Perhaps there is little cohesion and team members function on islands. Team members sometimes feel uninvolved and find it difficult to give feedback.

‍Forwhom is this learning track?
For teams: the employees and their managers.

After this learning track:

For employees:

  • Discover what makes collaborations successful.
  • Gain insight into your own behavior and reactions.
  • Understand the behavior and reactions of your colleagues.
  • Discover and appreciate the power of differences within the team.
  • Improve trust and communication patterns within the team.
  • Learn how to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Strengthen the basic structure of the team for better functioning.
  • Increase your involvement and strengthen your connection with team members.

For executives:

  • Strengthen mutual cooperation and commitment within your team.
  • Discover your team's pain points.
  • Learn what concrete steps you can take toward a (h)real team.
  • Grow in your leadership skills.

Based on their expertise and experience, our coaches look at what steps are needed to create an effective and cohesive team. There is no "one size fits all" approach. The steps a team will take cannot be poured into a rigid plan. Starting the process together in team brings insights about follow-up actions.

Each member of the team is part of the system and helps design the next step. The facilitator clarifies ambiguous situations and exhorts the team to clarify roles. We give a place to the past, then successfully put a stop to it and tackle the present. There is an eye for what doesn't work, but once again for what does. The team learns to appreciate the latter again and look at the situation from a different, positive angle. In this way, team members work together toward solutions.

Our trainers take your organizational context into account and incorporate concrete and realistic situations into the program. Evidence-based, practice-oriented, motivating and highly customized, that typifies a learning program in soft skills by Obelisk.

Big theoretical blocks? Not so. At Obelisk, practice and experience take center stage, while theory stays in the background. Our hands-on approach lets participants apply theory directly for maximum transfer.

We use proven models so that the team can get to work in a well-founded manner . Obelisk uses, among other things, the Lencioni pyramid and the team effectiveness model of Fry, Plovnick & Rubin:

Team coaching to really connect, case Lechler

Team leader Frédéric Nagels was newly on board at Lechler and wanted to strengthen his team. The team was under pressure, too many tasks fell to one person and each colleague was working on his own little island. However, the employees clearly wanted to go through fire and water for each other. Reason enough for Frederic to take preventive action! His goals? Developing a balanced division of tasks, getting to know each other's strengths and making more of a connection. Trainer Laura Krause developed customized team coaching, in which insights and fun effortlessly alternated.

Multi-day team coaching with work and play

During an extensive intake, we sharpened the goals. Frederic felt it was important that the new division of tasks not be imposed top-down, but be supported by everyone. He also wanted to find out the team's talents and pitfalls and list concrete action points for the future. With this information in mind, Laura organized a three-day team building in the Ardennes. One and a half days she provided team coaching, the remaining time was filled with informal moments, such as a barbecue and a hike, to have fun and connect with each other.

The training course 'Building a (h)real team' can take place at different locations, tailored to the needs of the participants. Our primary location is our headquarters in Leuven, Grauwmeer 1. In addition, we offer the possibility to deliver the training on location at the client's own premises, or in other suitable workshop or training spaces nearby.

During the intake meeting, we will discuss the most appropriate location for your team. This can range from a quiet, green setting where participants can walk around during a break, to a more formal setting appropriate for a professional meeting.

Online or hybrid

Obelisk believes in the power of hybrid solutions, the combination of offline and online. Our hybrid courses are not a "copy-paste" of classroom training. They are adapted to new realities and our coaches retrained. The result is a complete hybrid package with the best of both worlds, online and offline.

During an introductory meeting, we identify your questions, expectations and the unique context of your organization. This is how we ensure that our offer perfectly matches your needs.
Based on this first meeting, we work out a tailor-made offer, which we send to you by email or come to explain it in person. After your approval, we start designing the learning trajectory and planning the next steps, always in close consultation with you to optimally align the trajectory with your needs and goals.
